Classical & Musical Theatre

Cillian's formal singing training began at the Royal Northern College of Music under the tuition of David Lowe. Following this he then completed a Masters in Musical Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting. ​

Whilst studying classically Cillian enjoyed performing in a number of opera's including playing the role of Acis in Acis & Galatea, as well as performing in the chorus of two Bergen National Opera productions. It was during the early years of Cillian's singing training that he began to delve into the wide genre of choral singing. He has enjoyed singing everything from popular arrangements with the National Youth Choir at their Royal Festival Hall concert By Special Arrangement, to chamber and large-scale choral standards broadcasting live on a number of occasions on BBC Radio.

Whilst studying at the Guildford School of Acting, Cillian received tuition from a number of Musical Theatre specialists building on his previous singing abilities and widening his repertoire and style. 

​

Aside from his training, Cillian holds the folk music of his upbringing close to his heart. Folk and popular music also forms an important part in his repertoire of which he is continually hoping to expand with old favourites as well as his love for new writing.
